Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 10, 2026
Summary
We collect minimal data needed to operate the site. We use Google Analytics for aggregate traffic statistics. We use cookies set by affiliate networks when you click an outbound affiliate link. We do not sell personal data. EU and California residents have specific rights described below.
Data we collect
- Server logs: IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, timestamp. Used for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate analytics. Retained for 30 days.
- Google Analytics: aggregated and anonymized traffic data via Google Analytics 4. We do not enable demographic or interest reporting features.
- Affiliate cookies: when you click an outbound affiliate link, the destination retailer's affiliate network may set cookies in your browser to attribute any subsequent purchase to us. The retailer's privacy policy governs that data.
- Newsletter: if you subscribe, we collect your email address solely to send the newsletter. We use a third-party newsletter provider. Unsubscribe is available in every email.
Health-related browsing
We are aware that browsing health and wellness content can carry sensitivity. We do not track which specific articles you read in a way that ties to identifiable individuals. Our Google Analytics setup uses aggregate page-view counts only.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal data.
- We do not run advertising networks that profile users across the web.
- We do not use behavioral tracking pixels (Facebook Pixel, etc.).
- We do not require account creation to read content.
- We do not link health-content browsing to identifiable users.
Cookies
The cookies set on this site fall into three categories:
- Strictly necessary: session and security cookies for site operation.
- Analytics: Google Analytics for aggregate traffic statistics.
- Affiliate: set by retailer affiliate networks when you click an outbound link. These are not set by us; they are set by the destination.
EU residents are presented with a cookie consent banner on first visit. Analytics cookies are not loaded until consent is given.
